We currently offer the opportunity to live and work as an au-pair in the UK and USA.

Primarily placing au-pairs in London, England, we have families across the UK looking to welcome an international au-pair into their home for anywhere from six months up to two years, and across the USA for up to one year.

An au-pair is an unmarried young person aged between 18 and 31, who travels to another country to live with a family in exchange for providing childcare and light housekeeping. In their free time many au-pairs take language classes, attend local colleges and meet up for planned activities with other au-pairs in the area.

To qualify you must:

- Be a Canadian citizen, with a valid Canadian passport

- Be aged at least 18 and under 31 (for the UK) and under 26 (for the USA)

- Have not participated as a working holiday maker in the UK previously   

In the UK you will receive pocket money of £70-80 (approx CAD $112-128) working up to 30 hours a week. Those with more extensive childcare experience may qualify to work as a mother’s helper or nanny, working more hours and earning a higher wage.

In the USA you will be subject to the minimum wage rate but are required to enrol in at least six hours of study per week at a post secondary institution, with the host family providing up to US $500 toward this.  

As an au-pair with International Nannies & Homecare Ltd  you will have:

- Help completing all documentation

- Support before and throughout your stay, with access to an emergency 24 hr contact telephone number

- A welcome pack on your arrival, complete with the Au-Pair Handbook

- Social events organized, with a community of au-pairs nearby

- (UK only) Access to the BAPAA run au-pair website putting you in contact with other au-pairs across the UK
